How Secure Foods Keeps Your Organization Operational During a Disaster
Stock up on Secure Foods and your employees will receive high-performance nourishment to stay focused and alert through emergencies and disasters.
When disaster strikes, one of the first challenges is accessing food and water. But beyond that, workers in vital roles require proper nourishment.
With stores unavailable and severely limited trucking and transportation, essential workers may find themselves subsisting on junk food and caffeinated drinks or hardly eating at all. Of course, that kind of diet can't keep up with the demands of working through a disaster, and poorly fed workers may be less capable of working and more susceptible to illness and exhaustion.
Unfortunately, most of the MREs (meals ready to eat) on the market are just shelf-stable alternatives to junk food. These meals rely primarily on carbohydrates to boost calories. These carbs, once consumed, turn to sugar. Within a couple of days, the effects on the body are energy spikes and crashes, and poor digestion and elimination.
However, Secure Foods focuses on a balance of fiber and protein in our meal kits. Thus, workers’ sugar intake is regulated by fiber to slow down its absorption. This results in maintained energy and muscle mass for those vital workers relying on emergency food.
When you stock Secure Foods, you can rest assured that your employees will receive the quality nourishment and nutrition they need in order to stay focused and alert.
Effects of Some Recent Disasters
The American workforce continues to be significantly and negatively affected by climate change events that cause mass migration away from their homes, family, and businesses toward the security of other locations.
Organizations of all types have lost a base of well-trained employees, an operational catastrophe that can be as harmful as the physical devastation.

WHY SECURE FOODS?

You see, the most basic needs become scarce for people during disasters – food, water, shelter, and community. In fact, even in disaster-prone areas, many businesses, organizations, and communities seem to be caught off-guard and employees scatter to fend for themselves…ending up in FEMA lines for the basics and unable to return to work for days, weeks, and months; and sometimes never. Loss of key personnel is devastating to business continuity. Read more...
